We have had sooooo many laughs over Dane's science project. Every time we talked about the project we would burst into laughter. He chose the planet Uranus to research and present to the class not because Uranus is so cool - like the fact that it was the first planet to be discovered by telescope and I can only image how incredibly exciting that was for the human race. The possibilities the people may have thought existed probably kept them up all night wondering....
Dane chose it on name alone. We made him practice pronouncing it properly the night before and instructed him not to tell the class as he had planned, that he would be talking about Uranus and he means the planet, not your anus.
He really, really hates giving presentations so we had him practice for us. He used humor which made it more interesting but he tends to ramble too. Sounds so familiar. I wonder some days if I'm these kids' mother since they don't seem to take after me at all.
He got an A on his model of Uranus, rocket, poster, and presentation project. He was sooo glad it was over with more so than the grade!
